Graduation Day, on 28 Aug 2016
The Graduation day 2016 of Vinayaka Missons Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, a constituent college of Vinayaka Missions University was held on 28th August 2016 Sunday at 10.30 a.m. in Annapoorna Auditorium with heavenly blessings of Founder Chairman Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram.

Prof. S. M. Jamkhandi, Director, MSME, Centre of Excellence, IISc, Bangalore was the guest of honor and Dr. G.Sainarayanan, Senior Technical Specialist, HCl Technologies, Chennai was the chief Guest on that day. Mr. N.Ramaswamy and Mr. K.Jaganathan, Directors of Vinayaka Missions University made their presence. The Graduation day marked the zenith of several years of hard work. The function commenced with the academic procession into the auditorium. The Principal, Dr.A.Nagappan welcomed the gathering. Prof. S. M. Jamkhandi, Director, MSME, Centre of Excellence, IISc, Bangalore, the guest of honour in his address, congratulated the graduates and insisted the fresh graduates their responsibilities towards their family and country. He stressed the importance on networking, lifelong learning and successful profession. He also said You are all now full- fledged engineers poised to engage in nation building. He also added in his speech that, this institution has provided the requisite knowledge and grit to adapt under any circumstances to achieve success. He also praised the Principal, Dr.A.Nagappan for his achievement in obtaining recognition for Business Incubator and for the financial grant for developing their ideas into projects from MSME NewDelhi as well as IISc-MSME Centre of Excellence, Bangalore.

Graduation day address was given by the renowned chief guest Dr. G.Sainarayanan, Senior Technical Specialist, HCl Technologies, Chennai .In his address he extended his best wishes to the graduates. He said I am sure everyone here have learnt how to live in Society, how to maintain relationship, how to face challenges and problem. He further insisted the graduates to be responsible person in the family and Society.

The Principal in his annual report expressed the Government of Indias importance in encouraging innovative ideas for promoting the managerial and entrepreneurial spirit among the budding engineers. He also added that Prof. Dr.A.P.J. Abdulkalam Business Incubator of the College paves way for developing their products. He said ours is the first institution which has fulfilled the criteria and received Rs.43.51 lakhs for 7 Projects. 441 students from various branches of B.E., B.Tech., M.E., MCA and MBA full time and Part time were awarded with degrees. After the awarding, the graduates took the pledge to be honest in discharging their duties. The convocation was ended with the National Anthem.
