One Day Seminar on Revenue & Records Management for Real Estate Promoters, on 05 Mar 2018
In any organization with good records management practices benefit in many ways. One of the most benefits of the records management is to make evidence based decision. In addition, it may be open and accountable, enable operational efficiency and effectiveness, to maintain organization or collective memory, and to meet out the operational, legal and regulatory requirements of the organization. In order to inculcate the knowledge about the revenue records management in real estate sector, the seminar has been organized by the Department of Management Studies, VMKV Engineering College, Salem on 05.03.2018. The Programme was started at 10.00 am with prayer song. Dr. C. Ramanigopal, Head of the Department, Management Studies welcomed the participants. Dr. A. Nagappan, Principal, VMKV Engineering College preside over the function. Mr. M. Govindasamy, Revenue Inspector, Salem delivers the special address to the audience. Near 50 participants were participated in the seminar.

This seminar focused its objective to maintain the revenue records. It covers the essentials of maintaining revenue records and that has to be endorsed to keep a property as a litigation free property. It also covers various revenue records and its impact, conversion of land classification updates to be done after buying/selling a property to keep the title perfect. It creates awareness to every participant about the roles and responsibility of maintaining records of a property owner along with various formalities to be fulfilled with registration and revenue department paralelly. It gives immense opportunity to participants to realize the importance. During the interactive session the resource person share his expert experience that can help to avoid litigation through proper revenue record management. Participants actively participated and get clarified various doubts about revenue records according to the present revenue codes in practice. With vote of thanks the event was completed at 5.00 pm. The event was arranged by the Faculty members and Real Estate Management students of the Department of Management Studies.
